Dovecot Middlesbrough offers more than 60 different variations of gin – from household names like Brockmans and Hendrick’s, to small-batch distilleries offering customers the first taste of what could be the big brands of tomorrow.
The Dovecot is known for its quality glassware, and highly-trained staff will be able to recommend the perfect tonic and garnish to compliment your chosen tipple.
It also offers gins aged in whiskey or rum barrels, for a unique twist on the UK’s most popular spirit.
But it’s not just gin – The Dovecot has an extensive array of rum and whiskey, which will change seasonally, alongside a host of lagers and craft ales.

Since reopening in July, with a renovated outdoor area, the bar is now serving on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – with plans to reintroduce food on Sundays, alongside live music.
The bar will also look to expand its opening hours as it continues to emerge from the pandemic.
There’s an upstairs function room that will double as a relaxed space for conversation and ambient music, while Andy and Carl are still looking to expand further into unused rooms above the bar.
“We’re really excited to be back,” said Andy. “We’ve had a fantastic reopening – lots of the old crowd are back and we’ve recognised lots of faces. It’s a fantastic atmosphere, and we’re really positive about where we’re going.”
