The Isaac Wilson offers a wide variety of great pub food and drinks during the day, from inside one of Middlesbrough’s most historic buildings.
It’s named after Isaac Wilson – a director of the Stockton-Darlington railway, which began the development of Middlesbrough as an industrial town.
He was one of the town’s first JPs and was elected as an MP for the first time in 1878.
On Wilson street, the building was opened in 1901 as Middlesbrough’s County Court, and was repurposed as a pub in 1991.
The pub boasts a long central bar and lots of seating, with prints and pictures on the walls telling Middlesbrough’s history as a hub of industry.
With breakfast and a main food menu popular with families, students and groups of friends alike, the pub also offers a whole host of beers, ciders and spirits and a cask selection showcasing local breweries.
