Killer food and drink offers

The Killers are in town, and Middlesbrough's food and drink establishments are providing killer offers for their customers...

In light of The Killers playing at The Riverside Stadium, many bars and restaurants are putting on special promotions – including cheaper food and drink deals and themed music events.

Smoke and Mirrors BBQ

New on the block, this authentic BBQ smokehouse is putting on a very special offer. They’re based opposite the Psyche building on Linthorpe Road and their ‘dine like you mean it’ event is £35 per person and includes:

A sharing platter per group, up to four cocktails or up to five beers/wines/single spirits & mixer/proseccos, and transport to The Riverside Stadium in a hired bus – leaving Smoke and Mirrors at 17:15.

Isaac Wilson

Just around the corner from the train station , the Isaac Wilson will be serving food and drinks from 9am, this staple pub in the town centre will be playing The Killers music all day long.

Panuozzos

Based on the popular Bedford Street, this Italian restaurant has a range of offers, including: Any two pizza or pasta dishes for £20, Two cocktails for £12, Bottomless brunch for £35, three courses for £20.

Turtle Bay

Based in the town centre at the corner of Linthorpe Road and Albert Road, Turtle Bay do two-for-one cocktails until 7pm, and again after 10pm. Bottomless brunch is available between 10am and 3pm.

Baker Street Kitchen

Situated on the corner of Baker Street and Albert Road, Baker Street Kitchen is of the most popular spots in town for quality food and coffee, and they will be serving their day menu up until 6pm. All-day breakfast, famous Pie Jacker pies, burgers and parmos are available, along with pints of Peroni, wine, cider and spirits.

Acklam Hall

Located a short drive away from the town centre in the heart of Acklam, Acklam Hall are introducing their new table ordering system for outside diners. To celebrate the gig, customers can order two pints of Stella Artois for only £5. There won’t be any ‘Killer’ wasps in the garden, either!

The Cauldron Bistro

Next to the bus station opposite Hill Street Shopping Centre, Middlesbrough’s first 100% gluten-free cafe is open throughout the bank holiday weekend with a Jubilee-themed specials board – delicious!

Slice Boro

One of Boro’s best pizza joints, situated on Bedford Street, will be open from 4pm for takeaway offering their signature detroit-style pizza along with the rest of their tantalising menu. The best bit is – it’s 20% off!

Rafferty’s

Rafferty’s Bar on Baker Street is putting on live music on the afternoon of 1st June. Open from 2pm, their resident musician Reece Vidamour will be performing from 4pm. What better way to warm up for live music than seeing more live music?

Hit The Bar

If you’re heading to The Riverside from the town centre, you’ll probably pass Hit The Bar on Bridge Street East. Hit The Bar’s main bar and both outdoor bars will be open from 1pm till late. With a special Brewdog collaboration, they will be offering multiple drinks promotions before and after the event, including: PIMM’s cup for £6, jug £20, 2 for £10 cocktails, craft cans 2 for £5 and Aperol Spritz 2 for £10.

Bier and Beer

Bier and Beer is located on Albert Road, just along from the crossroads with Corporation Road. Open from 4pm till 1am this bar specialises in the finest draft, from Bavaria to Britain. Their tasty cocktails are only 2 for £10.

Open for pre-drinks from 5pm, this cocktail-joint based on Bedford Street is offering 10% off to all customers who can show a Killers ticket.

Open from midday, this pub is featuring special drinks promotions for the concert and is situated on the bustling Bedford Street. Three double vodka and mixers for £10, four pints of hand-pulled ale for £12 and three double rum and mixer for £10 will be accompanied by The Killers music all-night long.

The Fork in the Road

On Linthorpe Road not too far from Baker Street, The Fork in the Road will be open from 10am until 7pm. This trendy bistro will be playing sounds from The Killers alongside their café menu. All pre-bookings will receive a free drink on arrival!

The Infant Hercules

Based on Grange Road just down from the crossroads with Albert Road, this atmospheric micropub offers a great range of cask ales. Open from 12-12, customers can buy two bottles of Budweiser for £5.40 and any single spirit comes with a free mixer. They’re also hosting a raffle to win a gallon of beer! Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
