One Big Boro Thank You!

As it’s the most wonderful time of the year, what better way to get in the Christmas spirit than by giving a big Boro ‘thank you’ to those special people in our communities, the ones who make a difference and add some sparkle wherever they go.

We’re looking for you to nominate an individual or a community group and tell us about the amazing and inspirational things they’ve done to make a difference in Middlesbrough this year.

They might have gone above and beyond to help others, helped make our environment a better place to be, or they’ve made a positive difference to our area as a whole by their actions or volunteer work.

To get involved, simply let us know who’s been the star of your community and why they deserve a ‘Big Boro Thank You’ at this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On event!

How it works

We will choose a selection of nominations and we will inform both you and the person you’ve nominated if your thank you is chosen to be highlighted.

We will invite your nominated person/s to Middlesbrough’s Christmas Light Switch On event in Centre Square (Sunday 19 November) where BBC Radio Tees host Gary Philipson will read out the messages and say a huge thank you to the special stars across our communities!
