The Burlam Bear is bringing fantastic food and drink to the heart of Linthorpe.
The small, independent bistro has a regularly changing menu, which is based on the seasons and new ideas from its team.
To be found at Roseberry Court – the large building at the Roman Road end of Burlam Road in Linthorpe – the Bear is in a fantastic location, bringing a different vibe to a Middlesbrough suburb which, due to its proximity to the town centre, is probably underserved in terms of local eateries.
Whether it be a coffee with brunch or a pint with your tea, the Burlam Bear stocks a range of locally brewed beers and spirits and a selection of non alcoholic drinks.
“Having spent the last 30 plus years supporting Boro and enjoying the night life, especially the music scene of the 2000s, I’ve often wanted to open my own place in the town,” said owner Scott Prentice.
“We want the Burlam Bear to be a place where everyone feels welcome, and that encourages other home-grown businesses – especially in the live music scene.
“Music is an important part of the vibe of the place and we want to put on acoustic nights promoting local singers.”
