A packed day of activity awaits at the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum on Cook’s birthday, including a visit from the Cook Islands Rugby League team!
Activities include:
- Flower craft workshop – make your own flower crown or garland to welcome the Cook Islands Rugby League team (10am to 3.30pm)
- Write a birthday wish or a message on special seeded paper which we will plant and turn into a beautiful flower bed! (10am to 3.30pm)
- See the Cook Islands collection with the museum team (10am to 4pm)
- Captain Cook Take a Walk tour with Captain Cook Trust members Martin Peagam and Rob Nichols (10.30am to 1.30pm)
- Cook Islands Rugby League team – an opportunity to meet the players and a presentation of gifts made by local school children (2-3pm)
- Cake cutting to commemorate Cook’s 294th birthday – you might get to enjoy a piece of cake too… (3pm)
Museum admission applies and all activities are free: £4 adults, £2.50 children/concessions.
