Middlesbrough Mela is back for 2022 and will be making a return to Albert Park on Saturday 13 August (11am to 6pm) and Sunday 14 August (12-7pm).
Enjoy incredible food, arts and crafts, a funfair, street performers, sports, games, musicians and loads more throughout the weekend. The incredible shopping bazaar also makes a return with more than 70 stalls from all around the UK selling food, fashion, jewels and more!

Meet the Middlesbrough Museums team and make some Mela-inspired masks to take home.
Make your very own Middlesbrough Mela magazine with artist, Adele Catchpole.
Create some awesome beats at a drumming workshop with Musinc.
Beamish Museum will be exploring stories and encouraging visitors to peek inside mystery suitcases to see what can be found.
Enjoy some books magic with Middlesbrough Reads as we hear the Mela stories of Sara and Henna (Saturday only).
Explore the park on the magical Family AR Trails – scan the QR code with your camera phone to get started.
Selfie-sticks and cameras at the ready as our magical Mela characters roam the park, primed for photo opportunities.
Don’t miss the Games Zone where you can play some of your favourite giant-sized games!
Take part in some Albert Park activities: swan boats will be available to hire from the Visitor Centre – £5 per boat. The roller rink will also be playing some Mela-inspired tunes. £2.50 for children or £3.50 for adults, includes skate hire if required. Please note that it is cash only payments in the Visitor Centre.
