After a fantastic launch event for at Base Camp’s comedy club, it’s back on Saturday 21 May with another incredible line-up. It’s a North East special with MC Lee Kyle introducing Louise Young, Mike Milligan & Dean Moore.
Lee hails from South Shields and is one of those naturally funny, whip sharp comedians. One of our favourite MCs.
“Very funny” – Manchester Evening News / “A brilliant performance.. Pure genius!” – NARC Magazine / ‘Genius… Kyle is one to go back for” – Leicester Mercury
Newcastle’s Louise Young is set for very big things. Supporting the likes of Alan Carr and Jason Manford on tour, she’s been signed to the biggest agency in the country and is wowing audiences up and down the country.
Louise has presented a weekly comedy radio show on BBC Radio Newcastle and at the 2020 Gillard Awards won a commendation for Newcomer of the Year on the station.
Louise also wrote and acted in Channel 4’s Original Comedy shorts on three sketches, one of which gained over five million views and went on to receive North East RTS award. As heard on BBC Radio 4’s Fred at The Stand, and soon to be seen on Comedy Central Live! She’ll be playing arenas before you know it – don’t miss your chance to catch her in our gorgeously intimate room!
Mike Milligan got to fulfil every Geordie boy’s dream when he got to play the part of north-east cult hero Sid The Sexist, providing the voice in Viz comic’s highly successful video and then performing the iconic sketch live in concert at his spiritual home of Newcastle City Hall. A teacher in a former life, he’s a regular at clubs up and down the country. Warm, affable and very funny.
Dean Moore is quite simply one of the nicest guys in comedy. A Boro boy through and through, he knows a goose called Vince and is big pals with reggae star Pato Banton. Delighted to have him grace our stage tonight.
Limited early bird tickets available for £10 / £12 standard.
