Last seen at Toft House in November 2021, when “Keep Your Heart Sunny” stickers and tee shirts broke out all over Teesside, DARREN POYZER is a professional singer songwriter, compere, community musician and manager at Stockport Music Project working with young people in their early teens.
He performs a weekly livestream “Darren Poyzer’s Sunday Service” every Sunday morning at 11am.
He also provides tuition for special needs and mainstream groups and individuals, covering a wide range of activities including instrument tuition, home recording, music technology and song writing. It is great to welcome him back. Have a look at his website: poyzer.com

– Henry Normal (Baby Cow Productions / Bafta Award winning writer and producer)
“I can say with 100% honesty that Darren Poyzer is one of my favourite ever singer/songwriters. Whenever I’ve seen him perform, I’ve watched the audience step right into the palm of his hand”
– Laura Taylor (Wigan Diggers Festival / Poet)
“Darren’s songs are heartfelt with poignant lyrics, and a beautiful sensitive touch. We really enjoy it when he appears on the same stage as us.”
– Andy Powell (Wishbone Ash)
Maggie Gee is known to many on the local folk scene for her humour, her astute political attitude and her irrepressible on-stage persona. Oh, and her trusty green guitar, “Kermit”.
Marske’s Ronnie Brown is a wonderful harmonica player, who can accompany any player in any key. He has also published a detective novel based on the art world, which grew from his history of studying the subject to a very high level!
