Multi-instrumentalist Me Lost Me is a true Northern treasure, weaving together electronics and ambient textures to make what is quite simply thrilling folk music. Jayne is currently Artist In Residence at The Sage, Gateshead and is making a brand new EP there, due for release on October 1st. Me Lost Me comes to Base Camp as the final, cherry on the cake date of a full UK tour.

‘I think we could say without any fear of contradiction that John Peel would have loved Me Lost Me, what brilliant, peculiar noise’. Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

“Me Lost Me’s Nightingale, an arresting a cappella duet with her synthesised double. It crystallises the collection’s peculiar mood, stripping folk back to its bones while letting its future echoes bleed out.” The Guardian

Joining Jayne on this October tour is the brilliant Nathalie Stern. Nathalie has recently played an incredible sold out show at Bobik’s in Newcastle and is the perfect addition to this lineup.Of Swedish origin but now living in Newcastle, Nathalie served her apprenticeship in guitar-based bands such as Candysuck and Lake Me, before looking to traditional Swedish folk roots and more experimental sounds for her debut solo album ‘Firetales’ in 2010.

‘Nerves and Skin’ builds on the experimental folk traditions of her debut, awash with vocal harmonies, synth loops and drones and is truly incredible. Elements of Bjork/Soap & Skin – truly superb.
