A concert of melody and warmth that celebrates the memory and legacy of Royal Northern Sinfonia’s former music Director, Lars Vogt, who was to have conducted this evening’s performance.
Dvořák was a composer who never hid his emotions, and two gloriously tuneful mini-masterpieces here complement Mozart’s lyrical Piano Concerto No. 23, played by one of the UK’s greatest performers of his music, Imogen Cooper. Mozart’s musical tribute to his hero Johann Sebastian Bach starts the evening.
